The Huddersfield Philharmonic Orchestra closes its season with a richly textured programme capturing the spirit of northern Europe’s Romantic tradition. Conducted by Katherine Stonham, the evening moves from Mendelssohn’s Overture to A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Dvořák’s The Water Goblin through Grieg’s Norwegian Dances to Brahms’ majestic Third Symphony. It is the orchestra’s first performance at this striking Marsden church, whose soaring architecture and natural acoustics make for a spacious, immersive concert experience.
