Holmfirth Rotary Club and Holmfirth Cricket Club put on their community bonfire, firework display and fair at Sands Recreation Ground on Saturday 7 November from 5.30pm. Expect a big bonfire, fairground rides and food stalls. Early-bird tickets are £8 for adults and £4 for children aged 14 and under (bought with an adult ticket), on Ticketebo until midnight on 6 November. On the night it’s £10 and £5, online or by cash or card at the gate, and the youngest children go free. It goes ahead whatever the weather, and the money raised supports Holmfirth causes. Please don’t bring alcohol, sparklers or fireworks.
