Six actors meet to put on a Shakespeare play, but each one has learned a different play. Northern Comedy Theatre’s farce Doing Shakespeare comes to the Lawrence Batley Theatre’s Cellar Theatre on Saturday 24 October at 8pm, with Coronation Street’s Steven Arnold in the cast. They carry on anyway, so expect muddled entrances, mismatched sword fights and a lot of improvising. It runs about 1 hour 45 minutes including a 20-minute interval and is recommended for ages 13+ (some bad language). Tickets are £18 from the LBT online or on 01484 430528.
