Kirklees Council’s Transport Services team is hiring three Vehicle Technicians to keep the council fleet safe, compliant and on the road.
You’ll do HGV safety inspections, servicing and fault-finding, get vehicles ready for DVSA and MOT tests, and work on electric and hybrid vehicles. You’ll need a Level 3 in motor vehicle repair; MOT and Class C training are free if needed. Permanent, with a £2,000 market rate supplement and paid standby.
Salary: £18.44–£19.96 per hour (Grade 9) plus £2,000 MRS.
