A well-established UK supermarket chain is looking to recruit an experienced Operations Manager to join its Huddersfield store team. The Operations Manager will play a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day store operations while supporting the Store Manager and leading a high-performing team. Key responsibilities include:
• Taking accountability for all in-store operations, ensuring high standards across departments
• Supporting and developing store managers and colleagues to create a strong leadership pipeline
• Leading on compliance and ensuring food safety and legal standards are consistently met
• Collaborating with the People Manager to embed a change-ready culture throughout the team
• Driving commercial success by identifying and developing opportunities for growth
• Delivering exceptional store standards and availability for customers
• Using customer feedback and store performance data to inform improvement plans
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support continuous improvement

The ideal candidate will:
• Have previous experience managing a large, high-turnover retail operation
• Be an inclusive and inspiring leader with strong coaching and communication skills
• Have a proven ability to resolve challenges, influence others, and drive team performance
