A new opportunity is available for a dedicated and motivated Progression Guidance Officer to join Kirklees College, a large and successful further education institution operating across Huddersfield and Dewsbury. The role is designed to support students in making informed decisions about their education, training, and career pathways.

Key responsibilities:
• Supporting students across curriculum areas with tailored progression advice
• Sourcing and raising awareness of relevant education, training, and career opportunities
• Promoting a safe, positive and inclusive culture throughout the college
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers and apprenticeship providers
• Delivering guidance that results in positive, measurable outcomes for students

Essential skills and experience:
• Previous experience working with young people and adults, including those who are vulnerable or disengaged
• Proven ability to support students in making good progression choices
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to offer accurate spoken advice to members of the public
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners
• Educated to Level 2 or above, including Level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths A*-C)
