The Pickled Pheasant journey began in 2013 when a small, independent, family-owned business discovered an empty and derelict public house in Holmbridge. With a vision to restore the beautiful country pub, they reopened its doors in November 2013.
Over the years, the business has continued to develop, expanding the pub/restaurant and adding bespoke bedrooms. Recently, they added two more lovely rooms and a spacious suite to their portfolio.
Today, the Pickled Pheasant is a source of pride for the owners. The pub/restaurant has a strong local following and supports the community and local businesses. They regularly host live music performances and welcome guests from far and wide, many of whom return. The business has been featured in Cosmopolitan, Elle, and was recently highlighted in a feature in The Times titled ’25 of the best breaks for art lovers’ in February 2023.
