Luke Tankard and Ben Curtis, both Yorkshire born and bred, along with James Erwin from the Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland, have extensive experience in the hospitality industry. They have worked in traditional pubs, Michelin Star restaurants, and 5-star hotels throughout their careers. The convergence of fate brought these Northern boys together, enabling them to envision and create The Sons of the North.

With years of experience in the food and hospitality industry, the owners of the cafe aimed to put Yorkshire on the map as one of the country’s finest producers of top-quality food and ingredients. In 2020, they achieved a significant milestone by winning the prestigious Live Wire Business Award for Cafe of the Year in West Yorkshire.Their objective is to source food and drink from small regional suppliers and serve as a shop window for these local businesses, helping to support and grow them while establishing The Sons of the North’s reputation for providing the absolute best of British products.

The team at Sons of the North continually seeks out new and exciting products to incorporate into their menu and shop. Yorkshire boasts a diverse range of offerings, including some of the best beef, pork, vegetables, and a wide array of wild foods.
