Springwatch is coming to RSPB Shrikewing nature reserve.
The Reserve Warden, Jess, can’t wait to showcase this special place to the world, highlighting its incredible wildlife and astonishing birds.
However, Shrikewing is not an island.
From pollution and vandals to an overzealous mayor, Jess is beginning to feel that the task of protecting the birds from human interference might be impossible.
As the audience meets raucous rooks, booming bitterns, and an abundance of tits, it becomes clear that the true stars of Shrikewing are its birds.
Can Jess draw inspiration from the tenacious female founders of the RSPB and tap into its history of advocating for bird conservation? Will she discover her own voice to rally support for nature?
Audiences can nestle down with Mikron in this journey through birdwatching history, accompanied by birdsong and laughter. They’ll be giggling from the very start and won’t regret attending!
